Courtney Stodden's "Got An Itch!"

 

Courtney Stodden decided that downtown LA didn't have quite enough smog over their skyline, so she decided to pollute the atmosphere a little bit more by bringing her unique brand of vintage Hollywood to the outlying hills.

Channeling her idol, Marilyn Monroe, Courtney wore the identical wardrobe that Marilyn wore in The Seven Year Itch, right down to the clear lucite stripper heels. And this is symptomatic of our regurgitated, hip-hop, sampling society that we live in today. What's old becomes new by just tweeking what once was, morphing it, some would say mangling, or massacring that piece of art and calling it their own. But Courtney is probably deeply versed in the bio of Marilyn Monroe, she seems an inquisitive type, well read and is probably true in paying tribute to her idol.

And there's nothing like idolizing a dead, home wrecking, multi-wedded floosie, who  flaunted her affair with John F. Kennedy squarely in the face of Jackie Kennedy and the nation. Nice.
