Chaz Bono is Pinocchio? Chazocchio?

Chaz Bono wants to be real boy! He wants to have his very own penis that will get hard whenever he tells a lie.

No, that’s not right. It seems strange to me that Chaz Bono, while living as his alter(ed) ego, Chastity Bono, avoided dick, like it was a Jahovah’s Witness knocking at the door. Now that Chastity has become/is Chaz Bono, it’s all about the dick. This is straight up confusing, strange, disturbing, * insert adjective here * stuff!

Some people would say that Chaz has brought a taboo issue to the light and made it better for those with gender identity issues. There are others who would just say you were born a chick, deal with it and be a chick. And still others who would just want him to go away.

Superficially mulling this over I was reminded of a line from the movie, Payback, starring Mr. Sensitivity himself, Mel Gibson. The line was spoken by the character Carter, played brilliantly by, William Devane. When Porter (Mel Gibson) starts to muscle in on the Syndicate’s turf, Carter (Devane) says about Porter to his henchman Phil, “I don't want Mr. Bronson hearing about this... he'll think I'm getting soft. One of his principles has always been: if you don't understand it, get rid of it... a stitch in time, so to speak, so... stitch this mut up Phil.”

You may be thinking, “what’s your point?”

My point is this; It’d be easy to “stitch” Chaz Bono up. Not in the way that Carter meant, but by ridicule, ignoring him, being staunch in conviction and pointing him out as a freak. Whatever Chaz Bono had/has to deal with, demons inside, guilt, or whatever turmoil broils within. That’s enough for him to deal with without others forcing their crap on him. Of course when you go public with your personal affairs, get ready for the shit storm and you better have a pretty big fucking umbrella and some serious rain gear. There’s humor here and it’s in jest, not hate. Godspeed, Chazocchio!
